Closing The Distance

I realize now.
Distance comes easy.
Distance is inevitable
all I have to do is be wrapped up in my own world
Oblivious to the truth that in distance iam dying...

Distance is easy and mostly feels safe!
Safe from hurt or hurting you
Safe from disappointment/being disappointing.
Although I am desperately missing the love- I have once known.
The goodness I have tasted and seen.

I'd still say distance is easy.
It helps my heart grow cold.
Even at times when there are daggers piercing  through..
I can bleed but not be in pain.
Distance feels safe and easy.

But..,
"But the Father having seen the son at DISTANCE runs to him"   ( Luke 15:17)

You have always been the faithful father.
For every time I chose to take a step closer ..
You ran to close the distance between.

Once again to vow..
Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither present nor future, neither height nor depth. Nothing in all creation ...
NOTHING COULD BRING DISTANCE
Nothing is able to separate us
from love of God the Father  given to me in Christ the Lord!
